From Humble Beginnings to World-Class Artist

Borowski Glass founder, Stanislaw Borowski was born in 1944 in Moutiers, France. From an early age he was fascinated with art and sculpture. He soon realized that molton glass was his medium of choice. He perfected his unique style in his home studio. Utilizing age old techniques for engraving on cameo glass, self-made tools and new art concepts, Stanislaw knew just what he wanted, and his amazing art and sculptures soon received international acclaim. This soon led to world wide exhibitions.

In 1990, together with his two oldest sons, Pawel and Wiktor, he founded the Glasstudio Borowski. Due to the overwelming demand for th Borowski families works of art. They quickly out grew the studio in Hennef near Bonn. After extensive renovation of a property at Boleslawiec, Stanislaw moved the family’s residence and the glass studio to Poland in 1992. Three artists are now working for the Borowski brand in the new glass studio: father Stanislaw, with brothers Pawel and Stani Jan.  

Today many of the masterpieces created by Stanislaw, Pawel and the youngest of the three Borowski brothers, Stani Jan, can be seen in galleries, collections and museums around the world. The Borowski’s collection of home accessories, garden sculptures and art objects. Are the perfect addition today’s contemporary home and garden. Meet the family behind these world-renowned glass art creations! The Borowski family of artists have been producing glass sculptures for decades and have developed their own distinct style unique to the Borowski family name.

STANLISLAW BORWOSKI One of the big names in the European studio glass movement of the late 1970s, has proven a so far unknown quality with his engraved and sculptural works. He has presented it convincingly to a broad public in numerous exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the USA. Stanisław Borowski plays virtuously with the versatile design techniques of glass. Over the years, an intensive complex of works has developed that deals with the political issues of his time and with human existence. The results are mouth-blown, multi-overlaid hollow bodies that are engraved and assembled together with sculptures freely shaped on the glass pipe to complex sculptural compositions.

PAWEŁ BOROWSKI As a versatile glass artist and head of the glass studio, Pawel Borowski is largely responsible for the development of ART OBJECTS, as well as for the design of the STUDIO LINE and OUTDOOR OBJECTS collections. He regularly creates unique masterpieces. His craftsmanship and artistic pursuit are then incorporated into the development of the regular collections.

STANI JAN BOROWSKI Distinctive and at the same time humorous art objects made of glass, wood and metal – these are the hallmarks of Stani Jan Borowski. As a designer and one of the company’s creative minds, he works with his brothers for the Borowski brand. With a high level of craftsmanship and a wink, he creates colorful unique pieces as well as artistic small series for the collections ART OBJECTS, STUDIO LINE and OUTDOOR OBJECTS. In addition, as a freelance artist, he pursues his own designs, which differ significantly from the brand.
